I was at the British Science Festival at the University of Sussex with my LSE colleagues Oriana Bandiera and Nava Ashraf at the Economics panel last Thursday. We spoke about how the discipline is relaxing the assumption of economic agents being narrowly self-interested and bringing closer together Adam Smith's dual view of human nature in The Wealth of Nations and The Theory of Moral Sentiments. David Dickinson of University of Birmingham organised the session.
